> Update Firmware k750i HELP

I recently purchased a k750i from someone in california, the phone is vodaphone branded and is from hong kong. It is currently running R1L002 which acording to some posts i have read seems like an older firmware. I am having a lot of os freezes and crashes. I tried to update through the sonyericsson updater from their website, but it tells me that there are no updates available. Can anyone help me on this?

I dont know what this means or how to list the CDA info so that the updater is able to help me update. I really dont know many of the innerworking of my phone and kind of need it spelled out. Any more help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
