I have a myrealbox account myself and i set my t68i to retrieve mail every 30 mintues without any problems. I connect not via WAP but via GPRS. You could do the same if you have GPRS.

for your email issues, are you using the IP addresses? this has know to be a common problem in the UK.
if you need the IP addresses open a DOS window.
type 'ping anyservername.com' hit RETURN.
use the full IP addresses instead of server names for both incoming and outgoing POP3 servers and try sending/retrieving email again.
