> Help with after-update firmware problems (k750)
Bookmark topic
Hey everyone...
Just updated my k750i from R1A008 to the new one using SEUS, the phone worked PERFECTLY just before the 'upgrade' which went well, updated successfully, but now my up, down and left joystick buttons arent working, the on/off button isnt working, and the phone is going slower than before.
HELLLP!

Have you tried a recovery? If that fails, looks like its time for a visit to the Carphone Warehouse!
Cheers

strange...but try full reset first and reflash your phone with seus one more time, if problems continue, only service center can help you i think. But do backup all your music, photos and numbers, some melodies will go away too after full reset, but you can get them back from backups

Haha, I was really hoping to avoid a reset, will wait for any more suggestions, and if necessary will have to backup and reset.
Can access all the features still, and its just down and right that arent working, so can do basically everything (except games and stuff) but it takes ages only using the up and left keys, and no softkeys
How do I backup files? Just connect thru usb cable and copy them all to computer?

Ok, full master reset didnt work.
The funny thing is, the phone still knows im pressing the buttons, cos I can still hear the 'click' key sound when i press the joystick down or right, but the phone doesnt respond...
Also, 1,2 and 3 dont work, which makes it really hard to text/sms, and type in phone numbers
Can anyone else help? I really cant afford to take it in for repair.
HOW CAN UPGRADING FIRMWARE CAUSE THIS?!?! GRRRRRRR

Anyone???
I think i'm just gonna fix this (somehow) and sell the phone off. I've had 2 k750's and both have been nothing but trouble. Might get a Moto E1 ROKR instead...

I seriously dont understand how all this could be caused by a firmwareupgrade that completed with no problems. I understand that it happened within a timeframe causing you to beleive it was due to the firmwareupgrade, but it sounds much more to me like moisturedamage and the timeframe is coincidental.

Moisture damage? In summer in NZ, while the phone was kept in my mostly empty, and very dry bedroom?
Sounds unlikely to me hehe
Note that I was using my phone immediatly before the firmware upgrade, sent a txt message like literally 30seconds before I powered it off and removed the battery, sim etc, and the phone was working PERFECTLY. As soon as the upgrade completed, put sim back, power on, and the buttons I had just used a few min ago were not working.
