Hi, recently my v600i totally stopped working, so i sent it into a local repair shop as the warranty is not valid (bought on ebay). The man in the shop said he hadnt seen anything like it and didnt know what to do, but on the day i went to pick it up he said he had fixed it, and that it was something to do with re-flashing the phone in a certain way. So, i got the fone home and found it sporting new k600i firmware. However within minutes i somehow managed to break the phone again, so, i once again sent it into this shop. This time the man said that he couldnt do anything further with it. The fone will turn on but feeze with a white screen after the SE logo. After some inspection i found that it could be turned on after a combination of inserting charger/removing battery. this results in the phone displaying "insert correct sim". from here i entered the code to get to the service menu (>*
As the fone is now unusable does anyone have any advice as to what i should do? can i buy a cable etc and reflash the fone myself or is this not worth it? i am considering buying a k750, what is the chepest these are available for?

Thanks in advance

I know that the flashing tools I normally use (Davinci and Total MultiServer) will not let you flash firmwares to phones that are totally different like that. Because the hardware of those phones is different its no surprise that it wont work.

The good news is you usually can flash the phone yourself, even in the state its in now. As long as the phone will actually turn on and the flashing software can 'see' it you may be able to fix it.

Go to http://www.davinciteam.com/index.php?page=home and have a look on there. I am not sure what cable you will need (never used that phone) so hopefully someone else can help you with that.
