I have a non-orange T68 which has been upgraded to MMS software.
When I contacted Orange (on 156 ) and they told me I could was not allowed to have the MMS messaging services, because I had a non-orange phone. (As I think other esato users have found)
I phoned again on 150, and although the operator tried to be helpful, they also came back with the same answer.

Been very miffed about the situation, I wrote to a number of Mobile Phone magazines about what happened.
"What Mobile" wrote back, simpathetic to my cause. They contacted Orange for me, and within a few days, Orange contacted me directly, and set up MMS! It just shows the power of the press!

Hopefully, this might make Orange change the policy for everyone. If not, look out for the article in What Mobile, and quote it to Orange!

they have recenlty changed thier policy - when MMS was released (not very long ago) it was orange registered handsets only - so they could check the capicity & stabilty of a mass roll out - now if u have a sim free phone it can be activated - just call 156 from any pay monthly phone & bob's ur uncle

The password is either Multimedia or multimedia.
All the settings can be found in the esato forum somewhere. (I haven't got the link to hand..) ;o)

virgin don't have it just yet - but the T68i should be available from them - I think they have to wait for T-mobile to activte it.
