> charging with AA battery

My phone is currently dead. Was wondering if any know if I can somehow charge the battery directly using 2 AA battery? Is that possible ?

You can get emergency chargers that run off batteries, usually 4 AAA ones or a 9v one. Try ebay, you can get them cheaply off there

As well as charging the phone battery, they let you use the phone as soon as they're plugged in

thanks for the info.. I just wanted a fix temporary. i was wondering if I put the Aa in series and than connect the positive to positive of battery pack (cellphone battery ) and negative to negative( cellphone battery) , would that charge it? I am waiting for my desktop charger to come in the mean time.. IT is just taken forever.. Thanks for the help in advance guys and gals.

you'd need three in series (to make up 4.5 volts). And you'd probably damage the circuitry in the battery, or worse cause it to overheat and blowup!

One more thing. I remeber reading somewhere that you could buy hand powered chargers for Nokias. They might have made one for SE phones as well but I'm not sure. You had to crank the handle to chage the phone, stupid as it may sound, but it would have been good in emergencies.

Actually, I've got one of those too! I keep it in my bag just in case of emergencies, although it doesn't have a Fastport connector for my W800.
They often come with a selection of connectors, mine came with a Nokia, Sony Ericsson (old, K700i etc. style connector as bought a couple of years ago), Motorola, and I think Siemens.
Ideal for emergencies, although it takes a good 5 minutes or so of cranking for enough power for a 30 second or minute phone call, but that would be enough in an emergency.
