Hi guys after 3 trials, i successfully updated my K750i firmware this morning using the SE-Update Service, but to my suprise my phone won't turn on again... Every time I try to repeat the update firmware process.. SEUS says I have the latest software, but my phone still won't turn on..

Pls I'd appreciate your responses, my phone's been down all day, just which I could restore back to its old state.

I'd be repeating but for your sake I will. The problem you experience was mine a while back but not anymore. SEUS has corrupted your firmware system file in the name of 'update'.

Hence, go to DaVinciTeam.com and force firmware update on your cell. Also, are you unable to charge your battery? If yes, time is running out and the more you'll delay, the less likely you'll have a chance to revive your cell on a battery that's almost drained out.

Then again, you can always borrow off a spare SE battery (Standard BST-37) from a friend or two using the same cell model, provided, it's completely charged to 100%.

Thanks Minister..

I've confirmed that my battery was okay, I don't have access to online means of paying for the Davinciteam log account at the moment, guess I might I have to wait sometime. If I eventually do, can I use the normal USB cable that came with my phone.

Also, could there be other means of bringing the phone to life.

You may use the supplied cable, provided, it's DCU-60 or DSS-25.

I could guide you to another website but doubt it would be free. Personally, I found DaVinciTeam.com pretty cheap (compared to other recovery / update sites) for reviving a cell phone literally in coma.

Goodluck in your efforts.

SEUS is the biggest bullshit I've ever seen. I tried updating using SEUS2 and it died in the middle of the update, turning my phone into a brick.

I've sent an email informing SE about what happened, and how pissed I am. It was frustrating enough having a phone that worked as if it was a prototype, but their own "service" turning it into a brick was even more an insult. I'm not fond of spending US$500 on a phone that only works half as advertised, and then having some bullshit lameass service nice up the phone beyond repair for me. I mean, why is it so impossible for SonyEricsson to actually make the SEUS work as advertised?

So I sent an email (and going to call tomorrow) to SE telling them that I expect them to fix this nice mess, or I'm going to press charges with the consumer protection groups.

I'm not going to try using Davinci to fix it - why should I pay for something that SE f**ked up?

isecore,

I wished everyone would individually press charges, but then again, are they (SE) even worth it? Chances are, you'll waste more money in the litigation process than the money you could have spent to revive a phone in coma. Nonetheless, don't let my comments hold you back from what you have decided final regarding the charges.

As for the emails, they'll either ignore or reply: both ways, you will be informed they are extremely sorry for the inconvenience and will come back to you later (never).

I understand and acknowledge your point regarding the fact it's purely SE whose liable for any damage caused by their flawed softwares, but then again, they (SE) devised the 'Disclaimer', on the front page of their software's, in order to avoid the very liability you speak of. All we have to do is, "I Agree" to exempt them (SE) from such liability. At least I know what I am clicking on, but I feel sympathetic towards those who are oblivious to the risks.

Notwithstanding, goodluck. You have a strong case, provided, you can substantiate they have been reckless beyond reasonable doubt, and intentionally negligible in regard to their disclaimers, customers, and of course, products - should not be difficult to prove.

At least you have alternative recourses. Where I live, there isn't even a Service Center but that does not seem to hamper me from using my cell even in the most extreme cases.

Hey Minister, thx a mill, my phone's now alive (infact now W800i), an uncle helped purchase crdeit from davinciteam.

Following the tutorial link on their homepage (seuniverse.com), I was able to revive the phone using their Main, FS and CDA as W800_R1BC002_MAIN_EU_EMEA.DVT & W800_R1BC002_FS_EMEA6.DVT & CDA102337/6 - EMEA6 respectively. I works like a charm with just a credit.

@ isecore,

Frankly, if I were priviledge to be close to a/an SE office, I'd act just your way, but my mails seems to make no meaning to them, but thanks to the guys at davinciteam.com - recovery step's so easy that I didn't even ask for any help other than their tutorial on converting a k750i to w800i..
