I bought a w550i a week ago, but now it regularly hangs while playing games ( i hv used 240 mb already)? So is it the handsets problem? And does the warranty cover headphones which have snapped?

I imagine the warranty should cover the headphones, and the software problem too. Have you tried updating the firmware to see if that makes any difference?
If not, take it to wherever you got it from or a service centre and they should sort it out.
