Ok... Can anyone tell me what the point is of P900 having the menu "Summertime" under controlpanel?

I can't make the phone change time automatically and still have to change the place where summertime is from south to north and Europe. By doing this I have to click on the screen.

IF there hadn't been this menu I also should have made one click - when I changed the time on the clock...

Can anyone tell me (and others) how to set this up correct and also maybe explain the point of the summertime menu in controlpanel (time and date)?

Thanks

Wudnt it be automated by synchronising with your PC clock which is done everytime you sync?

If I am right then last year my P900 did the change in the next day evening... maybe wait till tomorrow...

But, yes, I am esperiencing the same problem - have to change manually... but as it is only 2 times a year I dont cry!

Hi

I tried it now, and it doesnt work. So we still have to tick the mark "Summer-time Europe" to get it updated.

Well, as the above post says, we only have to do it twice a year, so it isnt a "deal-breaker" for me to get my next SE phone later.

Cheers

I am guessing that the purpose of having the Summertime check boxes is as follows:

Say you have your main time location set to London and your secondary (dual) time location to somewhere outside Europe. If you set the summertime checkbox to change the UK time from GMT to BST, then the secondary time should still be correct. But if you manually changed the time ahead by an hour, it would also affect the secondary time, where there should be no summertime changes.

Frankly, I can't be bothered to check if this is the case. Maybe someone less lazy can confirm?

I most certanly do not cry about this... I just thought about why there is this function, when I still have to change the time manually. The post above seems fair but where can I see that dual time? This message was posted from a P900

It's part of the International settings in control panel, but you can also set it by tapping on the space under the main clock in Time view (above alarms) and selecting Other...

The time and city for the selected secondary location will be displayed in that space.
