> P910i Battery level
Bookmark topic
Got a second hand P910i (with a broken screen that I changed for a new one) the phones works well execpt for one detail, when conected to the charger everything seems to work as it should but when it is disconnected the battery level goes down to 0% and a warning to that effect pops up, only the battery is charged because I have run the phone for two days (using it heavily) until the battery did run out - all the while the phone complains evry so often that the battery is low. I have flashed the phone using TOTAL Multiserver but the problem persists. Has anyone encountered this before or has any idea how to fix it?

Try:
-Back up the phone and do a reset
-Charge the battery up, take it out, leave the device as it is for a few hours and then try putting in the battery.
-Clean the connections on the battery/phone
Cant think of anything else atm

I'm not sure what is responsible for letting the interface know the battery charge level, but I believe I read somewhere the battery may be the one responsible for measuring the charge.
Try finding another battery and swap them to see if the problem disappears.

Thanks for your replies. I tried the suggestions by peepboon but still no joy. Come to think of it I think I read somewhere that the third terminal on the battery had some use and was not there for cosmetic reasons;-) - it could be that the battery is faulty as you guys suggest, anyway I've sent away for another battery and hopefully it will solve the problem.

Try a different charger. An Original preferred.

I know that with laptops, if the battery is failing, or degrading, it can produce bad rate of remaining time.
I have a Vaio TR3 and the battery display is not reliable what so ever. One second it shows 30%, and then it drops to 12% immediately, and stays there for a long time, just like as if it would decrease slowly from 30% - to - 12%. So I guess your battery could be at fault. Batteries are intelligent nowdays, they have chips, etc.
