no buddy. I don't think you'll see folder protection without firmware support from SE. I don't think it's possible for a Java platform to "lock" or encrypt a folder. If it was possible, I expect it would only be locked while the java program is actually running.

can't hide either, but when encrypted the phone can't display the image thumbnail - so you can see the file is there but not what it is or what it contains.
