> DaVinci tricks W800i so it's impossible to use SEUS anymore!
Bookmark topic
My girlfriend bought a W800i from Spain (EUROPE_1) and I used DaVinci to install R1AA008 firmware into her phone to change to EUROPE_4. After that, everything cool, her phone was in Swedish.
But today I tried to install new R1BC002 firmware using official SEUS program, and it says: "There're no updates for this phone"
It doesn't even offer me to continue forward, while with my W800i I can re-install the firmware if I want.
My question is if anyone experienced this with DaVinci, I'm so annoyed now because I paid for that people and the program tricked the phone, and it seems that I can't use SEUS anymore..
Thanks in advance for any help!

Yea from what ive read that is one of the disadvantages of using Da Vinci, you cant use SEUS after...
You will have to use Da Vinci again to install the new firmware.

This isn't true, you just need to pick a CDA number that corresponds to unbranded phones in your region. I used CDA 102337/10 (Europe 2) on my K750i and SEUS works fine afterwards.

you actually can, if you noted down the original CDA of the phone- SEUS hashes the CDA against the phone's IMEI (which you cant change via DVT). my w550 is a EU2 phone, but i reflashed it with EU1 via DVT and kept the CDA- I was able to update the phone via SEUS however it reflashed it with EU2

Thank you guys! But now I ask.. if DVT changed already the CDA.. how can I now what CDA use to be sure that SEUS will work in the future?
The current CDA of the phone is: CDA 102337/1 R6A (EUROPE_4)
How do I know a CDA from unbranded phones using EUROPE_4?
And how can I know to hash the IMEI to get the CDA ???
Can anybody explain how to do it, if it is possible?
Sorry for asking so much, it's just I never used DVT and now I'm confused.
And thanks again

W800i CDA's
CDA102430/1 EMEA_1
CDA102430/2 EMEA_2
CDA102430/3 EMEA_3
CDA102430/4 EMEA_4
CDA102430/5 EMEA_5
CDA102430/6 EMEA_6
CDA102430/7 EMEA_7
CDA102430/8 EMEA_8
CDA102430/9 EUROPE_1
CDA102430/10 EUROPE_2
CDA102430/11 EUROPE_3
CDA102430/12 EUROPE_4
CDA102430/13 EUROPE_5
K750i CDA's
CDA102337/2 EMEA_2
CDA102337/3 EMEA_3
CDA102337/4 EMEA_4
CDA102337/5 EMEA_5
CDA102337/6 EMEA_6
CDA102337/7 EMEA_7
CDA102337/8 EMEA_8
CDA102337/9 EUROPE_1
CDA102337/10 EUROPE_2
CDA102337/11 EUROPE_3
CDA102337/12 EUROPE_4
CDA102337/13 EUROPE_5
So you're using a K750i CDA on a W800i.
SEUS won't update it...

Perfect, I'll try this tomorrow first time (I live in Finland, it's 23:00 now), that may be the reason why it doesn't work..
I didn't think about that, so in the DVT program, I just need to change the CDA number, cool, thank you very much
I tell you tomorrow what happened

Remember, changing CDA after flashing (as in your case) will cost you one credit. To have it for free, you should have typed the correct CDA when you flashed the phone - sorry!
So, you might as well reflash it with the latest firmware using DaVinci (but this time you should remember to type the correct CDA and you will be able to use SEUS when a new firmware is released in the future).
The correct CDA for you is: CDA102430/12

Ah thanks for that note, so I can't do it at the same time?
Another thing is that I flashed both main and fs, and all the settings and text-messages went away. It's there anyway of keeping settinges, messages and contacts like SEUS does?
Well, I'll wait till my girlfriend wakes up now and then I'll do it, she's paying anyway
Thank you all guys, very helpful people here in Esato

OK guys, I updated it to R1BC002 with DVT, I wrote a different CDA number manually, and now the phone starts but when I introduce the pin it says: Error, talk to your operator...
What did I do wrong? You can't write down manually the CDA?
What can I do now to make it work?, she's gonna kill me
Sorry for bothering with this post.., it shouldn't have gone this far..
