> w800 crashing problems

i just bought a 2gb memory stick for my phone but ever since i've had it in the phone, my phone sometimes either crashes or is very slow to navigate. when it crashes i have to pull the battery out to turn it back on, i'm sure doing this isn't good for it. any help???
