> K750i and MS Duo Pro problem
Bookmark topic
Hi all,
this may be a repeat, but haven't managed to find the solution to my problem anywhere else on the forum:
-5day old K750i
-latest (yesterday) firmware
-phone still does not read MS Duo Pro (or rather does occasionally, then crashes)
-the stick works perfectly on my P910 and PC card reader
-SE support has not replied to e-mails I sent both prior and post upgrading the firmware
...starting to think this phone was a really bad purchase...
Any ideas or help very welcome!
(not to mention problems with the PC software, but those could be related to the co-existence of the P910 suite on the same PC)
Cheers,
Niko

i think it's a buggy phone, as the memory stick is being successfully read by your P910 and your card reader... try borrowing/getting another memory stick and try it on your phone to see if the phone is really the culprit...

Does sound like the phone but as mentioned above try another duo if you can to confirm what the problem really is.

Thanks guys...
Tried another (non-pro) duo and it works fine. Tried my pro in another K750i (although with a much older firmware) and the smae problem occured (won't read the card).
I'm really puzzled by this one... will probably end up taking the phone back...

Ok, so here's the answer (or at least what works):
The K750i does NOT support HighSpeed MS Duo Pro (which was my old one)
Got a replacement phone from SE, bought a non-HighSpeed stick and it works fine! Tried the HighSpeed, and crashed again!
If you invest in a Pro stick, make sure it is not HighSpeed...
My two cents worth of wisdom

Here is my case if you think it might apply to you.
I have a Sandisk 2GB MS Pro Duo (regular version, it's faster than Sony High-speed btw). It worked perfectly on the my W800i. However, I put it into my card reader and write some files. My W800i didn't recognize it again, but it worked fine on card reader and my PSP.
I need to reformat it using my W800i and worked again. If I only use my phone to write files to the memory stick, there will be no problem. Everytime I use a card reader to write a file, the phone will not recognize it. I didn't notice this problem when I still had the 1GB.
