WOW what can i say, a few people may know that my macbook had a fault so i rang customer service and arranged for it to be picked up yesterday.

It was picked up yesterday at 2.20pm by TNT, and at 11.00am this morning i was contacted to say that it had a faulty logic board and did i want a repair or replacement, obviously i picked the replacement.

I have just emailed my proof of purchase so a new one can be sent out, how quick was that. I mean i was abit peeved i got a faulty one to start with but there service is superfast.

Other products i have had problems with i have waited weeks on end!

I just hope i don't have to wait too long for it to be dispatched, woooooooo!

thats good! but I've had equally good service from Sony.

They picked up my vaio one day, sent the laptop to their French repair centre and I rceived it back two days after it was picked up.

That happend twice that I had to send that particular laptop back.

The only other time I needed service was to replace a TFT screen which was not in stock but it only took 2 days extra

So I am more than happy with the Sony service too!

Yeah i have not had to deal with sony luckily but i would assume there good too, there products are anyway.

Pretty made up with that same as when my powerbook went in guess i am just unlucky.

Just hope i dont wait to long for it to be delivered, good loads of assignments to get through.

Thought i could have been waiting awhile as this time it was hardware rather than cosmetic.

Certainly is just hope the Grandad don't go mad over the phone call to a 0870 number.

Must have been on the phone for 30 minutes, i swear they put you on hold on purpose.

Apple are good with computers, but too snotty over iPods.. I lost alot of faith as a Mac Girl after the service I got over my iPod.

Cheers for that link. I don't suppose everyone gets good service maybe because mine was a laptop and had a high value and was less than a month old i got better service.

Although it shouldny be that way should be the same no matter what the product or cost.

Glad to hear they gave such good service for your powerbook. Unfortunately like lucy my only experience of apple C.S. is when they sent me the wrong ipod - and it was terrible tried to say it was my fault and that must be the one i ordered - i don't think so! They sent me a pink mini with no engraving one when i had ordered a blue mini with engraving. They were refusing to do anything about it at first. They eventually gave in but wouldnt even send the correct unit untill the pink one was returned so i didnt get my mini for bloody ages! Then after the mini was about 12months and a day old (so no waranty) to battery started to give up

Meanwhile dell C.S. was great recently (not what i was expecting!). My laptop was overheating and as i had the extended next day on site warranty - within 24hrs someone came to my house and instead of messing around testing individual components etc he replaced my entire motherboard and the entired heat sink/fan unit!!!

Thats not the best service at all, bet you were pretty gutted getting a pink mini.

Not had any problems with my ipod at all, touch wood, its the more expensive items i have trouble with LOL.
