Got my O2 email working without any problems.

But just can't seem to get Gmail to either send or receive.

Using the following settings:

Connect Using : Contract Internet (same as O2)
Connection Type: POP3
Incoming Server: pop.googlemail.com
Username: email address
Outgoing Server: smpt.googlemail.com
Username: email address
Allow Connection: Any network
Incoming port: 995
Outgoing port: 587

These are the same settings as the working ones on my laptop, so I'm not sure whats going on.

you'll need to set the outgoing sever to o2 as your on a phone.

Know v. little about this stuff.

Why would I neeb to use O2 as the outgoinhg server when its a V/fone phone.

I do use O2 as the outgoing server with my O2 addy...... which confuses me even further.

oh sorry, presumed you were using O2.

i couldnt get gmail settings on any of my phones, so im prolly not the best person to speak to!
