hi, i got a d500 with a cracked screen , i'm thinking of buying a screen if any one can solder it on?
so please help, and yes i will pay good money!
i need it done soon as its my mum's b-day pressie

The screen doesn't need any soldering to be replaced, just be very careful when taking the phone apart you don't tear or damage the data ribbon going between the two phone halves, or their connectors.

achually sammy boy it does, attached to the screen is a small flexi cable which powers the lcd back lamp, this is solidered to the front pcb. To get o this you must fully dismantle the entire phone as it is bilt back to front if that makes sense

I have to admit I've never replaced a D500 LCD, done an E800 and had a D500 mostly apart though!

@sammy_boy nope the flexi cable doesnt unclip i learnt this the hard way lol. Did the e800s cable unclip pal?

nah, a d500 has a solidered on one, it doesnt just unclip unforchantly the e800 was far better if you ask me.

The E800 I think actually looks a bit better than the D500, nice round ergonomic shape, but I digress.
