Hi all. I have just bought a 1 gig card for my P910i. It is a sony duo pro (high Speed). I have formatted it on my phone and can transfer to it on the phone but my pc card reader will not find it. Any ideas need to transfer files to it. Syncstation also not working.

Need more info...

Can your card reader transfer files to other memory sticks?
Any error messages?
What OS?

If i use my 128 card my card reader recognises it and I can drag and drop files on to it. When I put the 1gig in to the card reaer and try to select it from My computer on windows XP the egg timer comes on and thats it. I cannot open the card.
Have I bought the wrong one. on the box it says psp but I thought they were standard cards.

Your card reader is compatible with ordinary Memory Sticks but not Memory Stick Pro's which all the large cards (1 gig and over) are.
I had the same problem myself and had to by one which was compatible with MS Pro, got it from Ebay for about £8.
Hope this helps!!!

Same here - my muti-card reader will read 128Mb cards but not the 1 gig Duo Pros - my little dedicated MS reader goes in the USB port and works fine - £3 inc P&P from Hong Kong I think

I can highly recommend this dedicated MS Pro Duo *USB 2.0* card reader, available in the UK for £5.99 + £1.20 P&P:

if your in the uk you can get one from tesco for less than £2, only says memory stick on the case - doesnt mention pro, but it works fine with my 1gb card. Forget all those ebay crap readers, most are overpriced dodgy chinese crap. At least if you get the tesco one you can take it back and replace if it ever fails (mine has been 100% fine tho), and you get a usb extension lead which is worth the £2 on its own.
