I put a DVD-R in my D-Drive and i get the following pop-up

D:/ not accessible - Incorrect Function

Anyone know what the hell that means? My computer can Play DVD movies, is it possible it cannot read DVD-R's?

Im running windows 2000

Any help is much appreciated

what drive is it. all i can suggest is you google the drive name (find it by right clicking on the d drive and then properties)
some older drives wont read -r or +r as they werent all universal drives. ive an old lg dvd drive will read -r but not + r discs

ive googled the lg drive that dont look like it plays dvd s at all.
why do you have so many drives listed just out of interest seems overkill to have 4 drives
the nec only plays -r discs not +r discs.
you can check the rest via google if you like but i suspect that could be the problem

ive got a DVD movie though... and that works fine.. thats whats confusing. Thanks for the replies...will google it a bit more

And the drive itself does have "DVD Rom" embossed onto it lol!!
