> Missing Pictures in W800

I just uploaded several .gif to the phone to use as wallpaper and screen saver. Then I power off the phone and back on and I can not see these files in the picture folder from file manager.
However, when i hoop up the cable to my laptop, I do see them under MSSEMC -> Media Files -> Image folder.
Can someone please explain this to me why i can not find them from File Manager??
