i tried connecting the se w550i phone to my pc, but i cant seem to keep it connected. when ever i try to connect, the pc does detect the phone but as soon as i try to transfer any files to or from the phone, it says cant access the drive(fone). Do i need to download some drivers for this. when i look in device manager, i find there is an excalamation mark next se memory stick. it says cannot start device code 10. i have tried to uninstall all the drivers do a sys restore and make sure my os is not corrupt, then too i cant seem to make any transfer. i have windows xp. please let me know what is wrng, do i need to get the phone checked or something else.

i know by default the W550 is Plug-N'-Play compliant; you don't need to have special drivers to browse the phone's contents. you'll simply plug the USB cable, drag-n-drop files into their corresponding folders, unmount the phone, and you're all set! i've done this with a W550, so i'm not using theories here. perhaps you have a faulty USB port? try plugging your cable to another USB port...

thnx but no thnx, i have tried that with the other usb ports on my computer. it does recognize the fone on my pc but den wen i try to transfer the files it just says invalid drive. mayb it is a bad usb port, so i will be taking the fone to a frds and checkin it out. thnx for the help. one question, if i use a bluetooth dongle will i be able to transfer even if i have a bad usb port??
