So I upgraded to a W810i and I'm having big problems with dropped calls. I can pretty much count on my phone dropping my calls every 5 minutes or so. And the odd thing is I get great reception...5 bars about everywhere. Does anyone know why this is happening and is anyone else having similar problems?
Besides that I love the phone...it does have a couple other annoying bugs though. But the dropped calls is the only thing that's a deal-breaker. I've owned a T68i, T616, P900, P910a,K700i, and S710a in the past and none of them have had problems on cingular. What's wrong with my phone!!!!????

Seem the wast majority having this problem are Cingular customers.

I tried calling SE and they said do a master reset and try a different sim card. I'm doubting that will fix my problem.

@getagrip15

I was having similiar problems when i went from AT&T to Cingular with my K700i. I called Cingular and they told me that even though they don't provide that particular phone model, they still need to know what phone model you have to you can get the correct "updates." I'm not sure what they mean by "updates," but once i did that my phone stopped dropping calls.

Well, I've called cingular and Sony Ericsson and so far I've gotten no help. I've done a master reset(no help) and I'm gonna try another sim card this weekend. But I don't think that's the problem either. I wonder if the US version of this phone will have this problem resolved.

I Just bought this phone and previously had a k750i which after owning the k700i, i thought was a step down in reception. The k700i was awesome in reception. Then the k750i was a step down but still manageable. Now I have the w810i which I've waited so long for and want to love so much, yet I drop calls like flys even though there's full signal. My girlfriend says she might as well not bother talking to me it drops so much during our conversations now. I really wanted to love this phone, but it SUCKS!!! Want to know what sony says about the issue, check out this:

I'm sorry, but as much as I've waited for this phone and no matter how cool I think it is in features. It doesn't do what a phone is suppose to. Make and HOLD calls!
