i have never done a cashback contract myself. From what i understand you have to post off your bills together with a filled in form at certain dates during the year. You are then sent a cheque within 28days for the cashback. Doesn't seem too much hastle to me really, but like i say i have no first hand experience with it.

yep you definately seem to be able to get the best deals after having been on contract for a year. Although most the best deals seem to be with o2 online (i.e. directly with o2) I am not sure if that is who you would end up haggling with if you take out the contract through the link? As when i used to have a contract with phones 4 u on o2 they seemed to have their own phones 4 u customer support and when i left they tried to haggle me to stay but they couldnt even match o2 online's standard tariffs
I am on o2 online noe - £15 a month, 500min (x-net/anytime), 500 txts & free W800i when it first came out

and it's only a 12month contract.

it was easier than i thought, jus said that the network '3' had offered me that deal so i want to leave please. At first they offered my a deal which wasn't as good so all i said was no I still want to take the '3' deal cos it is better. The customer service person then said please hold while I talk to my manager. Came back on the phone a min later and said we will match it - easy as that

i rang 02 as soon as i reached one month before the end of my contract. I rang saying i was giving my months notice of leaving.
I never rang or recieved a call from '3' at all - i just said i did.
