never heard of viruses infecting regular phones... from what i know viruses only infect Symbian phones. but i may be wrong.

There is no concern with viruses at this stage. The worst is that you might get bluejacked (someone you don't know sends you a file or message without pairing). Basically if something pops up and asks you if you want to accept it, and you're not connecting to anyone else, then just say "NO". That's how simple it is to protect your W800!

I've got to laugh! I was reading recently about a guy who left his bluetooth open and received a file request from an unknown source, and what did he do? He said "yes" and installed a virus! And here's the pathetic bit, when asked if this had taught him to be more careful with his bluetooth activity, he said "no"!!! He said he'd still leave his bluetooth on because he might get someone sending him jokes or something!! That guy needs to get a life!

Yep, as the saying goes, prevention's better than cure. I was real paranoid when i first got my symbian phone, installed a couple of anti-virus apps. Now i'm doing without them, cos i know the best way to avoid getting a virus is to not accept files from unknown sources. Besides, bugs are more annoying than viruses, and there's nothing you can do about those. Heh...
