Hi there,
I can't seem to flash my K750i to a w800i with the Total Multi Server software.
I have bought a 2-1 cable and installed the drivers, its installed the cable on COM PORT 32 - when i select this it doesnt seem to flash my phone.
What i'm unsure about though, is what state my phone needs to be in before attempting the upgrade.
When i've selected my username, and password, and browsed to the firmware file and language - does my phone need to be off - with the cable out, before i press "program files to phone memory" ?
or should the phone be on with the cable inserted into my phone? cos as soon as i insert the cable - it turns the phone on anyway!!! ????
Or it says "Press ON button of phone" - whats the point when its on, and is unrepsonsive when the cable is plugged in anyway, and i HAVE to take the battery out.
Please help!!!!
I'm a bit confused.
Sometimes it says remove battery and put back, but when i do this, nothing seems to happen.
Please can someone guide me a bit better.
Many thanks!

Sir,
Your phone needs to be OFF all the time!!
Start the process without any battery in, when Total MultiServer asks you to press ON, then insert the fully charged battery... and it should start.
If no connection, try mark DTR and RTS
IMPORTANT!! - Your battery must be fully charged!
Kind regards,

thanks VERY MUCH!!!!
im gonna try this now.
(id read about the phone needing to be fully charged - i presumed this was just covering peoples bums in case the battery went flat duing the upgrade - causing a corrupt firmware incomplete unusable phone - i didnt think this was a MUST for the upgrade to be successful)

You could be having issues with the computer. somtimes TMS is picky about the computer it's run on...if you're using a 2in1 cable you really shouldn't have to press the on button as it's self powering...but depending on your computers config you may just have to.
on my computer the software wont work properly unless both the dtr/rts checkboxes are checked.
here is the process I follow for flashing with TMS
1.) start up software, select manufacturer and model.
2.) download the appropriate firmware and default language files...you must flash both.
3.) click the flash tab. and load the files into their corresponding slots.
4.) remove the battery from the phone, and replace it. then plug the phone into the cable.
5.) press the program files button and then follow the instructions on screen. Then wait for the process to finish.
when prompted to remove the battery, do that of course, if the process doesn't seem to continue when the battery is replaced then try tapping the power button.
if all fails, try another computer. if that fails...well...could be a problem with the phone or possibly with the cable...you may wan to try and uninstall and reinstall the multi-server cable drivers..if you need to do that then make sure to uninstall the driver that's in the ports section and in the USB controllers section of device manager.
good luck and let us know how things go.
Sincerely,
--Corey
