I was browsing my wife's S55 from the PC to delete old and obsolete files.
I deleted some JPG files from something like
\MMS\Persistent_Data
together with a few other binary files that I thought couldn't be important (whack, whack on the back from my better? half after that). These files were 1kiB and under - I don't believe they actually held the address and phone data, but somehow their loss means that addressbook(phone memory) and phonebook(SIM card) appear empty.
Any suggestions (for the phone that is, not for my wife or my back
)
I freely disclose that I posted this in another (not quire appropriate forum), I am more used to google-groups and having initiated the new post here it was not obvious which forum it was going to

Have you tried upgrading the firmware from the siemens mobile website? I used to have some trouble with saved sms messages, but after my firmware upgrade that problem got sorted out.
