i've got a a o2 sim card and need to unblock my sony ericsson f500i...i've got my puk code from o2 and not sure what i need to do...can anyone help???

is the sim card's pin code blocked, or your phone locked to o2?
If the former, enter the puk after switching on the phone.

its locked to vodafone at the min trying to get it onto o2...when i type that in the main menu then what do i type???
i've got to type in a nck code

you need to call vodafone up and ask them to unlock your phone from their network. This may cost you, or you could use SEMCtool and a data cable to unlock your phone - not sure about the method, just know that it works. The code that vodafone will give you is called the NCK code - when you insert the O2 simcard, press left, *, *, left. then go into network and enter the NCK code. Please report back with your finding from phoning vodafone - i hope this helps.
