> K750i - Which A/V Codecs Do You Use?
Bookmark topic
Hi there
Which bitrate do you use when encoding AAC and MP3 files for your phone? I've heard that the AAC/M4A codec can achieve the same quality at 64Kbps as a 128Kbps MP3. Is it true? Which is the smallest bitrate that does not crap the sound quality?
And what about the video codecs? I read somewhere that K750i supports 3GP video with AAC audio (instead of AMR) but unfortunately I could not play such files. I also tried to encode the videos in MP4 format, but the files seem too large and the playback hangs eventually. What bitrate and dimensions should I use for the video to play smoothly?

Try this for mp4.
video size 176x144
bit rate-120
frame rate-25

Thanks for the advice.
I tested audio files at different bitrates and I found out that a 64Kbps AAC sounds just fine. It is worse than 128 VBR, but it is acceptable. MP4-Audio produces larger files at the same bitrates.
It turns out that the Apple iTunes produces suitable audio files for k750i, unlike most of the other progams I tried.
Do you know what video codecs can be played by k750i?
What is the difference between H263, H264 and H263+ and which one should I use?
