Hiya all.
I am getting my new w900i delivered today but its a vodafone and I was going to debrand it tonight with the normal SE firmware.
Before I do this I was just wondering how this will effect the vodafone services.
Does anyone know if it will cause problems with any of the vodafone live functions such as sky tv and any other vodafone specific service.
I mean, can all this stuff still be acessed with the vodafone branding removed?
Sorry, this is my first phone and I appologise if this is a total noob question but I really need to know this asap before I make an irriversable mistake.
Thanks in advance

Apparently if you debrand it and then send the settings for vodafone through

s site, Live! becomes the homepage anyway!

Does that mean that it will be Re-branded so to speak?

No, it just means that when you press the wap button, you will be taken to vodafone live! but the menu will be generic

Ahh right I see what you mean. Thanks for your help.
So although the branding will be gone it will have all the functionality of the vodafone service with the added functionality that was removed when vodafone got their grubby mitts on the firmware. Is that right?

Yep. You will have the nice clean generic sony ericsson menu and functionality of your phone, but with the added functionality that vodafone provide. A win win situation if you ask me!

What about a W810i on Vodafone? Is it hard work to the same with this phone? I'm waiting for mine to be delivered today. How do I go about doing it, and is it safe to do?
Thanks.

It will work in the same way most likely. If oyu are carefull and follow guides then yes it is easy to do. Only problem with the W810 is that atm there is no firmware for it, therefore you cant do it! You will have to wait a couple of weeks for it to be available!
