3rd party mic & headphone adapter verses official SE headphones. Is there a button on the lapel that makes a difference when answering calls? Do you need that button? Or can I just get a cheap adapter?

yes you need it to "answer and hang up calls or use the voice command"

Thanks, I better avoid the cheapo one then. I guess SE make it hard for 3rd party makers to make the button.

Shame I can't use the buttons on the handset. Guess it's an extra "7 into SE's coffers
