Hi there. I just received my HBH-30 today, and I'm very pleased with it. Although I have a T68, I've found the range on the T68 abysmal. However, it doesn't matter - it's not the main application for the headset.

I have an MSI USB key plugged into a computer that is dedicated to home automation. It controls the plasma, the cable box, VCR, amp, DVD player, various lights, fans etc using a combination of X10, homebrew and Redrat IR. I've written a custom application to run everything, and I'm now using Dragon to control it over the headset. The end result is house-wide voice control a la "Minority Report" - I say "I'm home", all the lights turn on etc. I'm really pleased with how it all works: up to about 8m away from the key, I can say "Cable, MTV Hits" and it'll change the channel, tell the uplighters to dim etc etc. Wahey! Apologies for relishing in the success, but to quote Hannibal, "I love it when a plan comes together".

Everything is good other than one small issue, which forms the basis of my question:

As things stand, in order to get the PC to listen to the headset, I have to turn on the headset, wait a bit, go to the PC, select the headset in My Bluetooth Places and click Connect... I hear a "ring ring" sound in the headset, and pressing the headset button establishes the connection.

Now obviously, I'd like to do without this. I want to be able to come home, bung the headset around my ear, turn it on and that's it. I don't mind waiting 30 seconds while the two connect, but the PC should detect that the headset is online on its own, and establish the connection with no intervention.

Is this possible, and if so, how should I go about it? Thanks very much for any responses!
