Phone o2 today ( 10th April ) and was being told that W810i is still out of stock. Any other member got the same answer from o2 or they just try to put me off!

I think they're trying to put you off mate. My girlfriend had a bit of trouble with them last week as she upgraded and the handset they sent her couldnt pick up network anywhere, anyhow, any which way! So she phoned them and asked for a replacement and they said they were out of stock until 11th April. Yet the website seems to accepting orders for NEW contracts. I think they deal with upgrades and new contracts completely separately, so i think they have some in stock but they're told to save them for new contracts. Anyway i told her to get back on to them and it was dispatched on Saturday and arrived today! Best of luck with yours mate

Yeah but we tried it with her current O2 simcard (which has been active for over a year), my O2 simcard, her mums vodafone sim card. Believe me, there's no way that handset was gonna pick up signal! And funnily enough the replacement handset she received today worked first time...

called o2 again but they still said the phone was out of stock at the moment but i know other company are getting their stock already. Why does it take so long for o2. Want to stick with o2 cause i got a good deal but the wait is frustrating.

Phone them up again but this time ask for your pac code. If they have the phone in stock they should let you have one if you go this route.

IVe been getting the same reply for some days in different parts of the country. I have also been told that around thursday is delivery day. Each store getting around 5 or 6, but with a waiting list of perhaps 10 or 12. But apperntly they are scrapping the waiting list and going for first come first served. Thats all I know. But I will be asking for my PAC code too.

@Super Exactly Perfect logical business sense to save the handsets for new contracts i must admit

Have the vodafone W810's got branded menus do you know?
