try doing these things:

first, you should enable the BLUETOOTH SERIAL PORT functionality of your buletooth device in your PC. MPE (MyPhoneExplorer)connects via that port.

second, once you have created the serial port connection, take note of the COM PORT NUMBER of that connection. it may be any number between 1 to 9 (in my case, it is stated as COM7)

third, go to the MPE application and change the COM PORT settings to match what was specified in your serial port connection.
fourth, try establishing a connection from your PC to your phone by clicking CONNECT from the first drop-down menu

hopefully everything goes right. in addition, you may want to search for the device using the option in MPE...

I'm using Bluesoleil too. first, you pair the devices, then double click on the phone, and the services are updated. On the third service, there is an icon of a Serial Cable. it says Bluetooth Serial Port Service. you richt-click on it and choose either A or B. I use B and it connects to COM 5. Then I open MyPhoneExplorer and press F2 (or open the Option Menu) I click on search device, and when it gets to COM 5, it sees the maximun compatible speed. Done! it connects via bluetooth. cheers
