Sony Ericsson 1Q Pretax Pft Seen EUR134M
0818 GMT [Dow Jones] Sony Ericsson is expected to report 1Q pretax profit of EUR134M, up 91% from EUR70M a year earlier, according to SME Direkt survey of 20 analysts. Revenues seen up 44% to EUR1.86B from EUR1.29B.
Margins expand due to increased overall sales and success with profitable Walkman branded music phones. Sony Ericsson is seen having shipped 13.4M mobile phones in the quarter, giving the company an estimated 6.5% market share. Sony Ericsson reports 1Q Thursday at 0630 GMT. (MRH)
