Hi
I bought a w810i from Optus too and was keen to debrand it. It's my first SE phone. I did a bit of searching before finding this thread but just wanted to get help clarifying a few things on the debranding process. From what I understand I need:
1) Install the software that came with the phone on my PC
2) Download the latest DaVinci client (15.91)
3) Download the firmware (not sure where though?)
4) Need to tell it what CDA code to use (not sure what this code should be)
5) Purchase an "instant log account"
6) Flash the phone
Can anyone fill me in on where I get the firmware and what appropriate CDA code I should use please?
Also, for those of you that have flashed your Optus phones a few more questions:
- Presumably the OptusZoo marking on the right softkey and in the menu is now gone?
- Does it get rid of the camera sound?
- Does it get rid of your GPRS / WAP and MMS / SMS settings? i.e. so you have to fill these in manually afterwards?
- Has it changed anything else in the functionality of your phone?
Thanks. Any info would be helpfull. I suppose the Optus Zoo branding is not really hampering the function of the phone, but I'd like to get rid of it all the same

the cda code u should pick should be australian one.. dont pick other ones cos later if u want to update on the se site it will or download firmwares from which ur cda code relates to.
the zoo button will be replaced by menu(options)
oh btw.. it dosent change any other things, only takes away the zoo bs
