I've just got a K700i that supposedly had a keypad problem (but is behaving fine so far!), but locked to Vodafone. I'm trying to get it unlocked to any network using SEMCtool v2.2 and my DSS-25 Syncstation, but when I try I get the error message "ERROR: Unsupported CID". It also states the phone OTP CID is 36 if that helps.

It's running R2AY firmware, would like to get it unlocked as it's in mint condition and I don't have a Vodafone sim to test it fully either (last one I had became inactive as I hadn't put any credit on it!), if anyone has a spare one I'd take that off their hands!

Sadly it looks like the phone has more serious issues, when powered up with a sim in it freezes at the 'searching' screen, the keys beep when pressed but nothing happens, so it looks like it has a software problem, which is probably why it doesn't unlock! Works fine without a sim, it's when you insert on it throws a wobbly.

Mind you, at least I got an almost mint (even it it's got a Voda logo where the Quickshare sticker should go) which I've stuck on another K700i, and can use the screen for something, so not all bad!

in setool:
1. backup gdfs ("Read gdfs")
2. recovery
3. write clean gdfs from FREC folder with Format gdfs option
4. flash main, fs, complete
5. unlock with Allow to change IMEI... option

Only prob there is I don't have any flash files or anything, anything to do with software is a weakness for me, haven't gotten into that side much, afraid of totally killing the phone!

P.S. you can't kill the phone (CID29,36 like K750/W800 etc) by service software. Setool (cracked or not) or other tools can revive it easily with service cable. The only problem could be drained battery
