can anyone tell me of some photo improving software... i have a noiseware program which works very well, but without anything too complicated i'd like a program or two that will improve the look of some of my photos that need it. anything other than noiseware? or is that all i need really?
thanks.

I use IrfanView, a really neat program, it can crop, resize (not just zoom in/out) has several effects like B/W, sepia, negative, edge detection, etc. some pluggings let you play MP3 and some videos, but mainly I use it to browse images because it's reallly simple.

I use PaintShop Pro as it has a 1-touch "photo-fix" button that cleans up most photos nicely. It's a trialware app though. If anyone else knows of an app that performs much the same function but is "cheaper", then I'd like to know.
If you've got access to a Linux box, then The Gimp does everything imaginable.

edit: what IrfanView can do for you is enhance colours (Red, Blue,Gren, brightness, contrast, saturation, gamma sorrection), reduce red eye, sharpen and stuff like that. cheers

I use Noiseware Community Edition Software, and it seems to work best. With my K750 I hardly need to edit my photos, just tweek them and reduce the amount of noise in cirtain areas.
Here are some photos Ive taken and edited using Noiseware.. If you are serious about editing your photos, I would get Adobe Photoshop, or The Gimp as a free alternative.

nice pictures...
personally i like the noiseware community one, since i like something that can do it for me, rather than me spending time doing it myself and probably looking crap afterwards...
