if anyone was wondering what might be coming next in phones it seems the answer might be just that... TV!

i'm a lazy boy i need pictures lol

but i did read it though, i don't know what to say really...
as long as they don't go too mad with this tv stuff, because i don't know about anyone else but i'm not a fan of all these mobile tv thing, so i hope this doesn't mean SE will take their attention away from normal 'advanced' phones, like the K, P and W series or whatever...

battery lifes in phones can barley cope with 3g, let alone hspda so forget about tv mate. 3G needs time to settle first.

Plus it'll probably be expensive. If I wanted to watch telly on the move I'll buy one of those little pocket TVs, at least they'll be free to view!

Well Why Not :

1) We already have Live Streaming / Video calls, Then streaming of Video or Live Broadcast is very much possible, The T.V Antenna can be built into the phone, just like the usual radio antenna.

2) The Battery Issue, Well there were articles issued by SE that they are working on Fuel Cell Based Batteries for their Cell-Phones..and If I see it correctly this will be the new revolution for the Power and Media World.
Even placing a Higher capacity battery is possible so and such if the T.V Concept comes much sooner than the Fuel Cell, We we can watch 30 Min of Friends on your K 700,and still have charge enough for calls in the day ..Then it will work " Just Fine " on a higher Battery.

3) Was'nt there a NOKIA ad depicting the T.V Concept in selling a 3G phone which had a Round Bottom...! and It featured a family getting a shipment of a Nokia,Instead of a TV and they all gather around for family time viewing..So I would disagree with the SE chairman saying that he see's a TV in cellphones, Infact he should not only See but turn his dream into reality.

regards

Despite initial expense, gadget freaks (which probably encompasses most of us on this site too...) would champion the TV-on-mobile cause; I mean can you imagine how the marketing departments would advertise this on TV etc, and perhaps it's safe to say it'll sell to a tech-hungry buying public by the shed-load; maybe not initially due to cost implications, but perhaps this feature will become more and more 'standardised' as time goes by, like Bluetooth has, mp3, expandable memory, etc. and become another 'must-have' feature for many people.

However, I believe that battery technology seems to be a limiting factor right now. Yes they have been significant advances over the past years with lithium ion, lithium polymer, nimh etc., but we all know how 3G chows battery life and as already mentioned in this thread, can you imagine HSDPA and TV?!
As has been mentioned before in forums, we can always charge every day and have chargers even at work, but what happens if people are out and about on business or leisure and wish to use these features...it will be very interesting to see how current battery technology/ development pace will cope with these demands...
