Carefully took my K750i apart the other day for the first time to clean. Upon reassembly, the screen only becomes backlight (bright white) with nothing else. The phone functions fine, I can call my voicemail and hear myself getting text messages, but the screen is out of commission. Few questions:

Has this happened to anyone? What is the verdict?

Will I need to buy a new screen? Upon inspection, the ribbon does not look damaged, but what do I know.

The small connector box (if you will) between the keyboard connector and the camera connector is the only place where the LCD plugs in to the phone, correct?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hey, although i have never had the white screen problem, i did have to replace my screen once. The "box" is the only place where the LCD plugs in mate, make sure the screws arent too tight, and also unplug the screen and make sure the connection is "clean" also you can get a new LCD from ebay for around 25 - 40 £ but be carefull of cheap chinese imports hope i helped.

Regards

It's probably that you haven't plugged the screen back into it's connector properly. Try taking it out, then putting it back in again firmly, making sure it clicks into place. Hopefully that will sort your problem!

Attached and reattached, even powered it on when it wasn't screwed in and it is still a no go. I think I also managed to break the camera slide sensor in the back. Woe is me.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

I think I can manage a tiny, tiny bit of superglue in there. Sigh. I just want to send it somewhere and have them solve my problems.
