We are happy to announce you our new mobile phone concept, the Renovatio Mobile. It is only a concept but we created something extraordinary – an idea of a phone made of wood and decorated with Japanese Chinkin ornamentation technique
Essential functionality.
The conception of a mobile phone has gone very far from its original, giving a second birth to the idea itself, we left only essentials like bluetooth 2.0, usb, 16 million color LCD, mp3 ringones, built in memory of 128 megabytes, we also added a highly sensitive tuchpad to make your navigation through menu as simple as never before. With the intuitive navigation inside and luxurious soft wooden body outside, the Renovatio Mobile is a phone that demands to be held…
The story.
The word Renovatio means renovation and rebirth on Latin, and it is the main idea behind this unique project, we took wood as unforgotten yet very rarely used material in mobile industry, and gave it a second birth in a wooden body of Renovatio Mobile decorated with Chinkin ornamentation, than we took an aluminium and created an exquisite keyboard with a touchpad in the center, we added a second to none liquid crystal display so you can enjoy the colors of life and nature. We made Renovatio Mobile pure and clean as delicate sounds of a piano, like morning light, and the touch of a raindrop… We made it to be perfect.
Postscript
We made an idea, now we a looking for a joint venture production partner to make it real.

Yeah the oversquare flip-phone styling does echo design elements of that B&O/ Samsung Serene thingy, although the keypads could hardly be more different in styling.

Well we were inspired by Serene in many ways, to say more my whole addiction to design appeared in childhood when I first saw a B&O sound system. Yet if one asks me about Serene I could tell that I was a little bit disappointed because I’ve expected a candy bar in a perfect style of B&O remote controls, and I’m not sure how much of B&O design philosophy does Serene have. Renovatio is something else, not a high-tech mobile but a phone for those who feel the beauty of nature.
