thank gawd for me w810i i can connect to the net using the phone as my modem. My wanadoo broadband has gone down, has been down for 3 days and still down leavin me with no broadband internet access. I was soo pissed off. Then was thinking ok my phone has a modem how can i use it?
I am clueless in connecting the phone as a modem to my computer, so i called up s.e on the weekend, asked them how i can set it up. The guy at s.e was really helpful, managed to get me to connect my phone to the computer and allowing me internet access to my computer.
The speed i am connected on is 115.2 kbps. Its an alright speed, wish it was faster but better than nothing.
Its a temporary internet fix for me untill my broadband is working again.

that speed is actually the speed of the connection between the pc and the phone via BT not the actual network speed.
I use my k600 the same way (using regular gprs) and it always gives that speed.

I used the usb cable provided with the w810i phone. I did not use the bluetooth connection.
Anyway to increase the speed? Anyone know how?? or is it not possible with this type of connection??

lol umm i got talked through the connection by s.e. However I installed all the software on the cd onto the computer and i clicked on mobile networking wizard once i did that. it took me through to another window where i went to file then new connection and just followed each of the steps through with the s.e advisor, then i got a connection.
Sorry i can't explain it too much in detail, i don't remember most of it myself
