> Belkin/Tecom Bluetooth USB and t68i - help!
Bookmark topic
I've searched the forums, and tried most of what I've found, and I'm having the same problems as many I've read about. I'm not trying to do anything fancy, I just want to send pictures over to the phone from the PC. I got the conenctions to work ONCE, and can't seem to get things to work again.
Is there any step-by-step guide to getting this to work? I'm new to all this Bluetooth stuff and would love to have it working as it sounds like it does for other people!
Thanks!

I finally seem to have it working OK! The BT adapter was fine, it was a problem somewhere in the PC software.
Here's what I did, in case it can help somebody else:
-- Install BT software that came with adapter. Add new bluetooth connection: create serial port 1, set to virtual port COM3 (or whatever it defaults to -- didn't seem to matter, but note which one it is).
-- Downloaded and installed SonyEricsson Package4 -- see the extremely helpful post

-- Downloaded MyPictures version R3A.
-- Restarted after installing these.
-- Opened Phone Monitor Options from the Control Panel. In the COM ports tab, select the virtual com port used by the BT connection. Make sure it is enabled and reserved.
-- Important: Turn phone off and then back on. Make sure the phone is discoverable. Don't know why, but turning off/on seemed to help other people, so I tried it. I tried to just use the MyPictures program at this point, but it wouldn't find the phone.
-- NOW, open the MyPictures program, find some photo on your computer, and send it to the phone. The Mobile Phone Manager should fire up and lead you through a wizard to add your phone. BE PATIENT here -- it took something like 30 seconds to a minute the first time to find the phone.
That is about it. I think this is more or less how it worked. You can also pair the devices by right-clicking on the BT icon in the system tray, then selecting Setup->Security, which will lead you through the pairing/passkey process.
Hope this is helpful to someone! I'm gonna try out the other package4 programs now!
