I am trying to update my W800i.
When i get to the stage after I choose my country, there is no text to read.
(See the pics if you dont understand)

I have tried reinstalling the SEUS several times but no luck
I have tried to reinstall java but no luck
I have tried to reinstall flash but still no luck

Anyone got a solution??

Try selecting an english speaking country if you're from a not native english speaking country and see if the text will be displayed then. I'm guessing the language files are not downloaded correctly and therefore are not displayed.

i got the same problem as well.

Reinstall the whole program and remember to REBOOT/RESTART your computer after the installation.

after i installed this program, rebooted the computer and ran the SEUS, it came out fine(all the words appeared)

Good luck..

If worse comes to worse, you can always ask someone to write down the location and order of the necessary buttons to click, so that you can still update the phone, and battle through it that way!

Tried your method zionist87, but it is still the same, no text.

I have also tried uninstall>delete installation directory>reboot>install>reboot but still no luck.

ive had this problem way back when i was trying to update my w550i; i tried 4 different newly-set up boxes running Windows 2000 (i figured it would be "cleaner" to do the update on a new computer). tried reinstalling, etc, still the same issue

i decided to the our ageing windows xp box in the corner a shot, and whaddaya know, it worked. I dunno if it has something to do with the version (it was 1.x.x.d something when i last remember updating successfully in a windows 200 computer) At the time of this ^^^ experiment, it's a different version. i dunno if that helps you though

I managed to fix the prob.
Finally managed to Uninstall macromedia flash and reinstall it
(bloody hell, the website does not let u reinstall it if there is a trace of flash on your comp and the problem is still there in SEUS if u do manage to install it if all traces are not removed)

Problem solved

Cheers to all who contributed
