Hi guys...Thanks for a great forum...Has been very helpful and informative.
Ive attepted to search the forums but could not find any referances to my problem,so i wonder if anyone can give any advise..
After my Mains charger giving up,ive just brought one from a reputable trader on Ebay..Was listed to fit the P910 and many other models..
Have left phone on charge(and it was charging)over night, only to wake up this morning with a hot phone and battery and the phones powered off and will not start up....Has the charger fried my fone?....Have tried another battery but still nothing.....Can any one advise if theres an internal fuse or anything i can check? Sorry for the long winded question but am real stuck with no phone....
Charger is 110-250v 50-60Hz.160mA
Output max 8.2VDC
max 650mA

Thanks for any help guys

Damn..... Does anyone know if its worth getting SE center to look at it or if its only good for spares now? ...Warning to buying aftermarket chargers from Ebay i suppose....

In my experience if it's fried, it's fried. Nothing can be done because the circuit board is too small for guys in a workshop to repair individual components. And if they could the charge would be so high that you may as well buy another phone.

In future when buying ANYTHING electric/electrical always check power ratings to ensure compatibility; even the original manufacturer can make mistakes sometimes e.g. by having upgraded a power adaptor and forgetting that the older version of the machine would fry if using the new model adaptor.

Sorry to hear about your dilema mate ... I feel for you.

Thanks for the advise plevyadophy.
Definately makes sense!! Give the ebay "shop" credit they are not ignoring my emails, and have thrown in a few suggestions... Its out of warrenty and have taken it to a Carphonewarehouse, walk in repair center...They r gonna try send it off and if it can be repaired they are gonna charge £40...Result!! Will wait and see..
Anyone else hold reckon i should hold out hope or move on???
If not there will be a P910 going for freebees if any good to anyone as will unfortunately move on to Motorola
