Not really an SE themed topic, but just thought a few people may like to know this little story.

I've had my 3 contract with a Nokia 6280 since Feb 22nd, and had nothing but problems with it. I seem to be having the same sort of faults as everyone else. I've spent about 30 mins on the phone today to 3 customer services who said they would only send it for repair. After listing the faukts, I ended up with a supervisor whos attitude completely stunk, telling me that there is no known faults. I'm quite placid nomally but ended up going completely mental at this guy down the phone. After listing the faults again he placed me on hold, and came back to retract his previous comment, and offer me a replacement handset, a k608, a V3x or a refurbed 6280. He tried to pull as fast one, telling me the k608 was brand new. I told him he was having me on, I know its dead old and he laughed and admitted it!!! I told him the V3x was crap, and if that my only choice I may as well have the refurbed 6280. I asked what would happen if that is faulty, he said it would have to be repaired. I blew my top again but apparently thats all that can happen. I agreed, send me the refurb. About 30 seconds after putting the phone down, he rings back and says there's no refurbs left so could I take one of the others. I told him I will go straight to a solicitor to pull myself out of contract. He sticks me back on hold, comes back and now, on the 20th I'm getting a brand spanking new one on my door step, they're taking this piece of crap off me and there's a note on my account that if the new handset is to go faulty again, I can have ANY handset on 3, free of charge, and it wont count as an early upgrade or as restarting my contract.

Just thought I'd let everyone know, I knowwe seem to be getting fobbed off by 3 on this, but there is a way through this!!! Just shout a lot!

I have a funny feeling that my new handset may go faulty about the time that the Sony Ericsson K800 arrives...

And the moral of this story kids? If you've used SE for years, dont go to a Nokia. You'll just be let down (even if you've had countless faults with a dodgy K750....)

Well done for sticking up for your rights, a lot more people should do this instead of being fobbed off.
That way we may get a better service from these companies.

i just got fed up with them. That story didn't include the 2 hours I spent the other week trying to change a bill date!!!!

The fact the handset is crap and I'm getting the K800 is just the icing on the cake!
