Hi awave,
You should try using iTunes and SyncMyPortable (formally known as iTunesMyPortable). SyncMyPortable allows you to synchronize just about any portable audio device (such as your SE W600) with the music you have stored in iTunes playlists. It works great with my SE W800i and K750i.

No you don't. You just have to make sure that the song files are placed in the proper artist\\album folder structure (and with the proper file naming convention) so that they are recognized by the phone's Walkman Media/Music Player.

i don't have w600 - have v600i - not music phone...just thought it was a bit of a swiz if they didn't let you use the included disctophone software. anyway - for any music i put on it, its just copied and pasted from itunes library folder anyway - then it auto-adds to the phone's media player library...can't really use for mp3 as only 30mb of space!
cheers anyway though!
