Hi there,

I have owned a P800, then a T610 then a T630 and now a W550i (you can tell I like SE phones

I have a bluetooth carkit (ck3100) in my car and with my previous SE phones, once I have paired the phone with the carkit I never had to do anything again. Every time I got in the car the phone would automatically synchronise with the carkit (contacts, missed calls etc) with all my phones until today when I got my w550i

It does work fine with the carkit. The problem is this..... every time I get in the car the phone says something like "CK3100 requesting access to your items. Allow?" and it keeps bleeping every few seconds until I click allow.

If this is going to happen every time I get in a car with a CK3100 (every one of the company cars has one) and my T630 was setup to work with everyone without prompting me, then it is going to drive me insaine!

Is there any security settings I can change or something so that it doesnt prompt me (for devices which are paired) I do want it to prompt me for devices that are not paired. Exactly like my T610 and T630 did.

Thanks in advance for any help

Luke

Arrgh! so close.

OK

I goto "Bluetooth settings"

Goto "My devices"

I have 2 items listed

"ISSCBTA"
"CK3100"

The ISSCBTA is the bluetooth on my laptop and the CK3100 is my car kit.

If I goot ISSCBTA and click "More"

The option "Allow Connection" is selected

If I click on this I can then select

"Always Ask"
"Always Allow"

Thats what I want!!!!! Always allow.

Ok, so I goto "CK3100"

I click on "More"

ARGH!!! There is no "Allow connecion" button, instead I get to choose "Services" "Rename" "Delete"

WHY??
