Hi all. Just picked up a z520i for the mrs. Is there anywhere I can unlock/debrand via the web and a usb cable etc. Or have I gotta pay at a shop.
Thanks an advance.

A quick search would've brought up www.davinciteam.com as it's been asked 1000's of times for every SE model!

Your best bet is to download the software, install the relevant drivers, read the instructions and if you have any further questions, post them in the DaVinci Support Forum: http://www.seuniverse.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=30

I wouldn't use DaVinci, their support and system is a rip-off and they falsely advertise that they can remotely unlock phones when their service is minimal. For debranding I would recommend you look at this page:

http://www.wotanserver.com/en[....]/sonyericsson-z520-debranding/

And unlocking this site:

http://www.uniquephones.com/

As it's always important to stick to companies with good feedback and verifiable customer services, not just forums!

Meh, better late than never, the technology for individual phones doesn't shift all that much, just different ways to crack em
