Are there any other Canadians in here?? Specifically in Ontario or Toronto to be closer?

The t68i was just released last week from Fido, Rogers, Simpro and some others... so there will definitely be MANY more t68i users in Canada... just wonder how many will find this forum.

Yes, there are Canucks here. Check out the "Great White North" thread.

I'm located in Toornto and have a Rogers AT&T T68i. Great phone. I bought it largely because it works so well with Mac OS X.

I'm a Canadian too!!!!!!!! I've had my t68i phone for a 2 months now. Import from HK. Got the camera, a new t68 goldface plate and a data cable. Looking for an mp3 player and the jabra bt200 headset fro cheap. no anywhere in canada where i can get a good deal?

by the way..anybody know how to setup and email account for there phone in canada? i'm with rogers.... i got the WAP working but don't know how to do the email thing. I've checked the forms but i'm to dumb to understand what's going on.

Good question DragonEye... I just picked my phone up last weekend... still can't get the GPRS stuff working... I didn't get much in the way of instructions from Rogers.

Does anyone have a .pdf or something from Rogers explaining how to set up the Wireless Desktop services?

Ahh... see DragonEye... you got me thinking about it. If you have Wireless Desktop all ready to go... Go to Web, and once connected, go to Portal/Email and it will say that it's emailing you the installer... you will get a message in about 5 secs that asks to install the software.

this is how i setup my wap

1. go to setting data comm
2. in data comm go to data accounts and create an account called rogers
3. once this is created you can edit account.

the APN is goam.com
user id wapuser1
password wap
the password request field shold be set to off

4. allow calls should be automatic
5.ip address should be blank
6. under advanced settings authen is set to normal
dat compression is set to off
header compression is set to off
quality is set to precendence adn subsricbed

7. GO TO WAP SERVICES
scroll to wap settings and click yes create a profile called rogers
under change homepage use
http://upaapps.goamerica.net:8582/start.wml
or
http://goamerica.net:9203/index.wml
save this to the current profile
8.under gateway select ip settings and conect using rogers account ip is 208.200.067.150
9. user id and password are blank
data mode is connoriented
security is on
show images set to on and response timer 150 secons
10. go to my shortcuts and make sure you cell # is in my numbers data and voice.

turn phone off.. leave it for a minute turn it back on.

try logging on the wap.esato.... it should say cannot find server continue yes keep on continueing till you get on....

and obvioulsy you need to subsribe to rogers' wireless service.
