US market is behind of all in all continents.... They have laid back technology. Cingular is only one to introduce 3 G right now... so whats the use of introducing SE P990 in US.
But u can buy This Phone from Europe.... and should have Cingular Carrier... T Mobile is planning @ the end of 2007 which is LAME

There is a rumor, that the Cingular UMTS 1900 is not compatible with the UMTS 2100. So going with t-mob and the 1900 band would be wiser. Also tmob has wifi hotspots to offer.

According to the web page
http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]1_1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp1&pid=10336
P990 is capable of UMTS and also GSM 900/1800/1900, which band is used in US?

tmob exclusively uses 1900, Cingular uses 850/1900 and is rooling out their UMTS, which might be not compatible with the international UMTS. Need more info on that one.

Hmmm, I'm a bit confused, not really familiar with UMTS/3G yet. So even if the P990 can use GSM 1900, it still won't work in the US? Cuz I have the P910i and that I know uses GSM 1900 and it works with my carrier which is Cingular.
